The original founders and the exceptional leadership that made this place great are no longer here. The current leadership and board seem solely focused on maximizing profits, often at the expense of employee satisfaction. The current CEO appears more interested in satisfying shareholders than supporting employees. In his 1.5 years, there have been three rounds of layoffs, justified by the need for increased profitability. It's questionable why the company continues hiring extensively in Poland and acquiring companies like Drift while also investing in personal international events when financial stability is in doubt. The promotion process is highly bureaucratic and biased. Promotions are often delayed with vague promises and the excuse that you need to consistently perform at a higher level. This seems like a way to offload more responsibilities without corresponding pay increases. Annual salary increases typically range from 0% to 3%, which is not competitive and limits financial growth opportunities. There is a noticeable favoritism towards certain groups of employees over others.
