Great people and working conditions

Nothing that I could see

Positive culture and attitude from CEO down that is real and not just buzz words or to look good on paper. Honest and fair with employees, provides excellent benefits and actively strives to improve worklife, considering same to be important to business success. Company is privately owned and has no debt. Samson is one of few oil & gas exploration companies that didn't tank during the 1980's and is well positioned to survive and grow in the current economy.

Some divisions and managers still clinging to past processes. Fortunately, this is being phased out as the company continues to develop and staff continues to evolve. And there are the usual micro-managers that no one wants to work for or with. Of course, industry downturns are a con, but see my comment in the 'Pros' section of this review. To be honest, compared to all other employers in my appx. 30 year worklife, the cons are few and not worth complaining about.
