Vantaggi

Not a lot of overtime required, competitive company with global relocation/travel opportunities, invested in training employees. Sandvik as a whole is an excellent company to work for, with involvement in the community, excellent job security, and good benefits.

Svantaggi

Getting ahead is more dependent on who you know rather than how you perform. Poor example of a diverse workforce at all levels of the Westminster site, and poor commitment to real change in this area. If you just want a job where you can do your work and go home, it's a good place to be. But unless you want to play the good ol boy game, don't expect much advancement or opportunity.

Vantaggi

Work–life balance is actually respected. Most managers honor boundaries, don’t expect late-night firefighting as the norm, and are fine with you taking time off when you need it. Solid parental leave. The parental leave policy is extremely generous compared to a lot of places in the industry, and leadership is generally supportive of people actually using it. Interesting, challenging work. Plenty of chances to solve real problems, not just busywork. If you’re proactive, you can own projects and grow your skill set. Good benefits package. Healthcare, 401(k), and time off are competitive, and HR does a decent job of making the options clear. Smart coworkers who care. A lot of sharp people who genuinely want to do the right thing for customers and the business, which makes collaboration worthwhile when it works.

Svantaggi

Communication needs improvement. Priorities and decisions don’t always flow clearly from leadership to the teams doing the work, which leads to confusion and rework. Too many silos. Teams tend to operate in their own lane, and cross-functional collaboration can be painful. Information gets stuck instead of shared.
