In my circumstance I had all my support from the Admin Team based out of the Manchester office, both their experience & advise in addition to the amazing support from the Technicians allowed me to achieve something of the job I was employed to do.

In eight months I had three Line Managers, with the last I had no direct or regular communication throughout; information was fed down the line piecemeal. No constructive processes were put in place & support from 'other' management was non existent. My 'other' Line Manager was based half way across the country who's motif was 'to give it a go, if it doesn't work move onto the next project'. NO Customer Loyalty, Smash & Grab Quick Wins would only do.

Err, none that I can think of.

It took me ages to get expenses, the owners are from Yorkshire and treat it like a Victorian Mill, some of those in senior positions shouldn't be there, engineering standards are poor and staff are treated likewise. Limited holidays (the time off they advertise includes public holidays) and there is no inward investment. If you go in as an engineer, expect to use your own tools as the ones provided are poor and inadequate - don't expect to get paid for this. If your not working in the York HQ expect to find out/know nothing about what is going on in the company.
