Regarding technical development, Schaefer recognizes the importance of continuing education for its employees and keeps the staff up to date on upcoming courses, classes, and conferences, some of which the company is willing to financially cover. Schaefer also places great care on its employees by empowering each one of them to control their own schedules. They recognize that we all have personal lives outside of the office and encourage proper work-life balance. It is common for the company to also have team building events during office hours throughout the year, whether it be grill outs, Chili days, end of week Happy hour, etc. I have had a easy time getting assimilated to the Schaefer culture and its staff. Everyone is professional, kind, and eager to help one another.

My duration of employment has been relatively short with Schaefer thus far but I compare my experience thus far with my previous employer of 7 years and have not come across any negatives thus far - it has been an incredible and refreshing experiences.
