Vantaggi

None that I can think of. The company is not profitable but PSG sunk a ton of money into them and wants it's money and a hefty profit so SS will stay afloat. Hopefully in 2-3 years the company will become a healthy workplace.

Svantaggi

Unlimited PTO means you leave and you've earned nothing. Bosses give a side eye at a time off request. A revolving door of management and employees. Very 'every man for himself' environment. Top-down management and overall abysmal communication by management. You never know if the information is in Slack, a Google Drive folder, an email, Asana, Loom, the corporate Wiki, or under a rock—the infrastructure is a mess. Every department runs independently. There is no COO. The CEO thinks he can do everything—CEO, COO, you name it. Due to that and the lack of a central, accessible voice, some teams are completely toxic—steer clear of marketing and sales leadership/teams. They hire out rather than mentoring and developing their current employees. There is no continuing education. There is little to no diversity, all white leadership except a few token Middle Eastern folks (all in IT) and one black lady. The CEO has said out loud in a meeting not to use terms like "equity."

Vantaggi

I’m proud to work on products that make a meaningful impact for school districts. The environment is grounded (drama-free) supportive, and realistic, which makes it easy to focus on doing great work. I feel genuinely supported in my role and confident that my manager and leadership team stand behind me. I’m excited not only about the work I do, but also about the people I have the opportunity to work with every day.

Svantaggi

While working with school districts is super rewarding, their reliance on state budgets can occasionally lead to shifting priorities and long decision timelines on contracts.

Vantaggi

This used to be an amazing place to work, but I can say the only "pros" about being here now are a few teammates and the unmetered PTO policy, which I'm sure will change like everything else has.

Svantaggi

- Leadership appears more focused on maintaining a positive narrative "optics" than addressing underlying issues - both with customers and employees - There have been instances where key team members exited under unclear circumstances, with departures framed as “mutual” and there is no internal transparency. - Communication around staffing changes can feel tightly controlled, leaving teams with more questions than answers. - Reported promises around raises or promotions don’t always materialize, which can impact trust and morale. - Employees may feel undervalued during high-effort periods, especially when expectations increase without corresponding compensation adjustments. - Retention of experienced team members has been a concern, particularly when institutional knowledge is lost without clear transition plans. - Leadership prioritizes customer outcomes over everything, mostly at the perceived expense of employee experience and recognition. - Overall transparency from management can be inconsistent, which may lead to uncertainty about long-term direction.
