Svantaggi
Everything. No onboarding. No Training. No Communication. No Management. No hiring plan You are expected to just pick up and handle queries without any prior knowledge. Work is just sporadically dumped on you again without any background or training or knowledge on the given subject. Decisions seem to be made without any consideration or knock on effect that they may have to different processes. Workloads are unmanageable and there is no workload management tools in place so management are unaware of how much work is put on one individual or what stage the work is at. Generally timescales aren't given for tasks either and when they are generally they are a short timescale and team leaders aren't willing to step up and challenge it or even be happy for staff to challenge it. I requested training for my role to which I was told no. I was told at interview Scottish Power was a great place and had lots of training opportunities and if I wanted to train up and learn a different role sometime down the line that would be possible. Training isn't even provided for the role that was applied for. It seems that there was no hiring plan in place when hiring me and my teammates. A few individuals already speaking of leaving after a short period and I will likely do the same. I have had bad experiences at companies in the past, but even those I have seen as bad it normally takes approx 6 months for the cracks to show and I have never left before 1 year in a role - at Scottish power there isn't even a foundation and I was considering leaving after 1 month.
