Vantaggi

Amazing company and they want you to grow

Svantaggi

Don’t pay you for education since as training modules they are expected to be done at work which is hard for nurses.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your five years with Scripps. We’re glad to hear you’ve found it to be a great place to work and that you feel supported in your growth. We also appreciate your feedback around training expectations and understand how that can be challenging in a busy clinical setting.

Vantaggi

Honestly, the only real positives were the beautiful location near Torrey Pines and the incredible coworkers I built strong relationships with—dedicated, hardworking people who truly support one another.

Svantaggi

If I could give Scripps a negative rating, I would. I’m in my mid-30s and have worked in multiple health systems across the U.S., and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had—largely due to the leadership culture. I frequently worked well beyond my job scope because of inadequate departmental support (functioning as the data analyst for the department, even though that was not my hired position). Despite consistently going above and beyond—essentially functioning as a team of one in a role that typically has 2–3 staff at other centers—my efforts were neither recognized nor valued. Instead, I was often talked down to and disrespected. To make matters worse, I worked as a team of one and was expected to “show up as a leader” without the title, compensation, authority, or respect to match. Over my year there, I experienced unprofessional behavior, including leadership accidentally sending me text messages gossiping about me with inaccurate information, with no apology to follow. When I raised concerns, I was told, “I don’t want to hear about this anymore.” When I requested time off due to burnout after a denied PTO request, I was told there was “no reason” for me to feel burned out and that “all I ever do is complain.”
