Some of the people sticking it out there are really good people. They manage to get good work done despite the environment.

Most other people, including management, are a mix of unqualified friends and family of the owner who exploit their status for personal gain. The owner's former babysitter became a Director-level executive in less than a year, while the outsider who built their supply chain from nothing into a viable department got fired and had their hard work handed over to the Director-Babysitter.
