SearchStax does pay their employees well. They recently hired a fantastic Sales Manager that is unlike anyone else in leadership here. She is supportive, believes in culture, cares about her team, has phenomenal sales acumen & believes in being a subject matter expert. Maybe if they will allow here to bleed into the organization she can help improve things here.

Extremely negative & condescending culture. Their CEO is highly negative, judgmental and micromanaging. Being on the sales team, he has a daily meeting to tell you how bad you are and if you ask for help the answer is, "just tell the story and let the SE's show the details." I think you need to know as much as you can to illustrate value to prospects but this is not the case here. If you don't have experience in the site search or Solr infrastructure industry you will not be successful here no matter how hard you try. Their value statement doesn't exist. When I asked how we are better than ANY competitor there was no answer except being cheaper which isn't enough to be passionate about selling something. There is literally 0 onboarding here and if you need help from sales enablement be prepared for great condescension & belittling as well. I went to the two other reps with all my questions before the new sales manager because no one else will help you here.

SearchStax has the right combination of working as a scrappy start-up and building operational efficiency as we scale. There is great collaboration among the functions both at a leadership level as well as individual teams. All functions are very customer focused and willing to help each other to serve our partners and customers.

The reality is - SearchStax is a start-up so there are some processes that are being worked out. This is all part of the growing and scaling stage.

Major misalignment at the executive level, specifically within sales leadership (CRO). Marketing support is insufficient, and the product currently struggles to provide quantifiable ROI or measurable business outcomes for customers. This makes the sales cycle unnecessarily difficult and creates long-term retention issues.
