A lot is expected from management, as they want to see a consistent improvement in sales but exceeding expectations will result in recognition. Given far more responsibility than similar jobs at Best Buy or Circuit City as you are put in charge of selling all types of electronics from tvs to dvds. Allows one to acquire a full understanding of the entire sales process.

Not a lot of upwards mobility. Once a sales associate, you would have to put in a lot of time (years) with good sales numbers in order to move to a managerial position but it is possible. Loss prevention fosters an air of distrust between the store and its employees.
