The people you work do go out of their way to make sure you are understanding things aren't doing something that is wholly compartmentalized.

Not on the cutting edge of technology for software, tied to legacy systems without hope of getting off them. Sometimes it seems like the company is a little cheap with small things but the profit sharing does making up for it in the final analysis. Sometimes it doesn't always seem that everything that could be communicated within reason is communicated.
