- Was informed of my job offer via letter - no phone call from manager or HR. - On my first day my female manager told me (another female), "You might have to flirt sometimes to get what you want in this job." - Was told travel would be very occasional - in reality I was having to travel across the country on a weekly basis. - Had to travel unnecessarily to lots of 1-3 hour meetings that were far more suitable for Skype. Spent more time on the road than anywhere else. Not great for a company claiming to be environmentally friendly. - On more than one occasion my manager bad-mouthed her other direct report (my peer) in my presence, at one point stating, "He's [obscenity]. He's probably going to be sacked." - Unfriendly atmosphere in offer. Lots of whispering about other colleagues. Was told during my first week, "Everyone hates each other in this office", - Sent out on evening assignment to collect case study. Was harrassed and intimidated on the way which prevented me from carrying out the assignment. Apologised to manager who replied mockingly, "You didn't cry, did you?" - Both myself and manager's other direct report (who was hired at the same time) left within 3 months of starting as manager's mercurial personality made us both dread coming to work.
