My experience working with this company’s HR leadership was very disappointing. The VP of HR appeared far more focused on outward-facing recognition, awards, and public accomplishments than on the actual day-to-day responsibilities required to support employees. Despite having a sizable HR staff, response times to even basic inquiries were consistently delayed or went unanswered altogether.
Opportunities for advancement felt inconsistent and unclear. Compensation discussions often came across as dismissive, and it sometimes felt as though decisions were based on personal preference rather than transparent criteria. This created an environment where internal growth seemed arbitrary and discouraging.
Communication from HR leadership frequently had an arrogant or condescending tone, especially when discussing policies or office procedures. The lack of organization and minimal presence in the office contributed to a sense of double standards — expectations placed heavily on employees but not modeled by leadership.
Overall, the HR department’s leadership style made the workplace feel unsupported, disorganized, and frustrating for employees who were simply trying to succeed in their roles.
