8yThank you very much for taking the time to write this feedback. We are very committed to making Segment one of the best places to work and I'm disappointed that your experience did not match that.
We take feedback very seriously and are always looking to improve, so I wanted to address a few of your points around a homogeneous team and lack of career development. As I think about the executive team, I feel that we have a strong presence of women and we have people representing different backgrounds both in experience and culture. We are always looking to increase this diversity not just in terms of gender and racial demographics, but in backgrounds and thoughts as we believe it leads to a more inclusive culture overall.
We have certainly identified a big need for better career development as we continue to scale. This year we started with better-defining roles and responsibilities, training our managers so they can be better coaches and initial stages of career ladders. We definitely feel like we need to take a more active approach towards learning and development that adds to our company onboarding. We hope to make great strides on this in the coming year by beefing up team specific onboarding, product training and better career conversations and development opportunities.
