Good company; culture not for everyone - Recensione dipendente - Software Engineer presso Segment

Segment has a very unique culture, overly cheerful and positive to the point of being fake. Imagine an over the top cheerleader in a teen movie. You're supposed to praise your coworkers with over the top phrases, and no one ever says anything negative even when they think it. It is strange that in a supposedly engineering company the culture is driven and dominated by non engineers. The exaggerated positivity has its benefits on morale, but can feel very fake at times.
