Vantaggi
My time at Selina was the best work experience I’ve had, thanks to an incredible team and a supportive manager who made every shift enjoyable. The people felt like family, and our manager genuinely cared about us, creating a great work environment. Though the base pay was low, extra pay for Sundays and night shifts helped. Payment was always accurate and on time, with full benefits, and when our branch eventually closed, I received a fair severance package for working for a bit over than a year.
Svantaggi
Selina’s corporate management was a huge disappointment. I was promoted to Experience Leader, only to be given extra responsibilities with no additional pay, still covering front desk duties and often stepping in for other departments as the team was gradually let go. Corporate failed to communicate openly, even delaying the announcement that our branch would be shutting down. The clientele was also tough—high demands, frequent freeloading, and never tipping, which made the job even more draining. Ultimately, it felt like corporate cared little about staff well-being or transparency.
