I work with some great people. There's also a pretty high level of neurodivergence here, which makes me feel a little more relaxed.

The people here are being taken advantage of. The environment here is extremely manipulative. Everyone is forced to follow oddly strict company rules, for example you can not be over 1 minute late to a meeting. You will get demeaned for it. Even your computer is forced to show time down to the second and you're unable to change it. This is one of many strict policies. All feedback is always extremely positive or extremely negative. It gives you the feeling of always being on a knife edge of not knowing if you're performing well enough to keep your job. You're forced to be overly obedient because they're looking for any shred of praise they can get. Something to give a sigh of relief to ensure you're not going to get fired. There are a lot of similarities in how the company is run that are frightening similar to historical authoritarian leadership. The CEO is the only leader here. Literally no other manager in the company actually makes any decisions. I genuinely can't tell if the folks working here are nodding there heads to keep their jobs or truly blind to how much they're being taken advantage of. There's also this odd focus of constantly talking about how the product exists to protect people. It's not. All it's doing is making wealthy financial institutions even more wealthy.

If I had to suggest one improvement, I would prefer if our Friday all-hands meeting were held two hours earlier.

The onboarding is very detailed and provides a great introduction to the fraud space for those of us who come to SentiLink without experience in fraud. My manager has been clear about their expectations for my role, allowing me to adapt to the team culture quickly. There has also always been clarity about the work I need to complete without me needing to seek out tasks for myself based on what I think will benefit the company. I do have the opportunity to make recommendations about processes but prefer that I am not responsible for building out my entire roadmap independently.

Svantaggi

The pace is fast and work can be intense intermittently when there is a lot to do or specific deadlines to meet. I have experienced a mix of intensity level week over week.
