Laid off entire engineering team! No product, no direction, and no transparency. Turnover rate this year is extremely high leading to 15% less employees compared to this time last year (lnkd). Yet, there's no attempt to backfill roles causing more long hours and lower morale to those that are sticking it out. It's clear the that firm's stance is everyone is expendable but I'm just not sure what the thought process is behind it. HQ is in Palo Alto, it's very easy for burnt out working bees that are left to find something else.
