We would like to take this opportunity to clarify information regarding the salary of our nurses. Sharp and our nurse union recently agreed on a new three-year contract. Before we reached agreement, Sharp's average nurse salary was above both San Diego County and California averages. The newly implemented contract includes 12% raises for clinical nurses in year one and a total 21% increase over the three year contract. Sharp nurses also received increases to on-call pay, shift cancellation pay and various shift differentials. Sharp is pleased to offer competitive compensation to our exceptional nursing staff.
