Vantaggi
Decent pay for casual work.
Svantaggi
- Staff discount does not apply until after you have worked there for months. - Poor communication between casual staff and upper mannagement. - Overly corporate company culture, I did not feel as though I was myself when interacting with customers or other employees. - Little to no product training, expected to do research on all the products at home like it's homework. - Extreme passive aggression, especially when you do not meet sales targets. - Imbalance of responsibility: Was once scolded for processing a transaction in two parts (i.e. one item in one transaction and the other in a different one) even though the customer did not request to purchase the second item until AFTER payment for the first was complete. - Zero consideration for mental health of staff, when requesting a mental health break for a few days after a loss in my personal life, my shifts for the next MONTH were cut, even though the request was for half a week. - Gaslighting, manager would consistently lie about the contents of the contract of employment. Example: On a 6 hour shift I took a break for 30 minutes as it said in the contract that shifts 5 hours or longer are entitled to a 30 minute break, I was then scolded because apparently my break was only meant to be 15 minutes. - You are expected to show up at least 10 minutes earlier than the time on your roster, I was treated with more passive aggression for having the nerve to arrive 5 minutes EARLY for work, not early enough. - Zero acknowledgement/humility from management, when handing in resignation to the HR representitive I was not sent any kind of correspondence, not even a pre-written corporate response, just nothing. Make no bones about it, if I could give zero stars I would. I have never felt less valued as a human being, let alone an employee.
