Svantaggi
Your experience with the company will vary greatly depending on your store manager. Some are great, others are condescending, vindictive, and show a lot favoritism. The bigger issue is with the company. Overall, they are not concerned with employees. I’ve worked in multiple positions over the years, and the overarching theme I have noticed is that the company uses people, and will do so until they reach their breaking point. Work weeks upwards of 60-70 hours are not outside of the norm for management. I have seen many employees get fired for trivial things, and there is no consistency from one store to another. Once HR is involved they do prefer to fire people than work to resolve issues. Benefits are available, but expect to work at least 9 months until you can get them. In addition to your long days and work weeks, managers can be forced to drive up to 50 miles each way without any additional compensation. The expectations are out of line with what they pay - they expect you to be available 24/7, for what essentially comes out to $15-16/hour. You are required to work holidays, evenings, weekends, and overnights. Employees can be unreliable - even other sales employees deal with being pressured into helping to cover call offs. Company is working to cut costs, so don’t be surprised if benefits and hours start getting cut in the upcoming year or two. To sum it up, respect from store management, as well as corporate, is minimal at best. I would never recommend it as a place to work (and certainly not a place to eat).
