Vantaggi
The pay is decent. Fully remote.
Svantaggi
This is one of the most disorganized legal departments I’ve ever worked with. I worked with the company for a month and was fired at my 30 day review. It was expressed that I was “not the right fit.” Normally, a person might understand this phrasing because they likely had those thoughts at the beginning. When I interviewed, there was a vague job description because it’s a young company. My supervisor spent the majority of our meetings talking poorly about attorneys on the team, VPs, and folks on other teams who overlap. My job responsibilities were never fully explained, just given the expectation that I would soon be overwhelmed by work. Little to no training, just a quick chat about things before the meetings evolved into personal over-sharing and what calls and e-mails I shouldn’t answer all from my supervisor. I submitted numerous forms and things for signatures and feedback (part of my job), and I never got responses. When I had questions about the things I wasn’t trained on, I didn’t get responses. There’s a deep level of negligence in this company that was apparent from the beginning, but I had bills to pay and was fine to deal with it. Frustrated to be looking for a job again, but thankful to be finished with ShiftMed.
