Excellent work/life balance (5 stars) Stable company: numerous customers, diversified income Interesting work A fair amount of freedom to innovate A mature company when it comes to software development: good processes in place but no red tapes A good crew (4 stars for company culture and values) Good senior management (4 stars) The company means it when it says: "We are proud to foster an environment where there is fascinating, challenging work with a corresponding respect for work/life balance. At the core of our success are the creative, energetic, dynamic people who make up the SSI team."

Compensation and benefits could be better. (3 stars) There is no technical writer so developers do all the technical writings and it shows. Revenue growth have not been as good as in the past which might be due to the recent recession. The ship building industry is lagging in technological terms.

The other employees are always happy to help out if you run into a problem and need some guidance, and all employees are constantly learning.

- Lots of meetings, there are a large number of company meetings many of which you will find yourself uninvolved in what is being discussed, on top of your smaller team's meetings these can add up a lot.
