Vantaggi

Flexible working policy, for the most part. The delivery terms are great and the co-workers in delivery were a big incentive to stay.

Svantaggi

- Denied payrises despite client performance, along with wages way below the market averages (though they will they say they are aligned, however, they are not. Instead staff are instructed to battle it out for 'bar raiser points' which might equate to a small scale bonus. There is even a public leader board of every member of staff in the agency so that you can see who is delivering outside of what they are paid / hired to do. Everything is a push for you to deliver far more than they are underpaying you to do unfortunately. - Whilst role and financial progression is declined for lower members of the team, members of the Senior Management received multiple pay rises and promotions in very short spaces of time. - Delivery teams are stretched to the max, with multiple instances of long-term sickness due to stress and situations created by the business. Clients suffer as a result of this, which then comes back on the delivery team. Each month they are rated out of 5 by their manager, with 1 and 2 being underperforming. Based on a client's sentiment you can be marked as underperforming, despite the very clear issues with the company's own systems creating this issue, not the member of staff in question. - HR is far from impartial and there to serve only the business. Feedback is requested from the team - then glossed over / ignored entirely, leading to the team no longer even bothering to submit feedback. - Multiple complaints were made about Senior management, all of which were outright ignored. These included management breaking the businesses own management and conduct. - Senior management is highly paid, with very little competence. As an affiliate agency, Senior Management is almost entirely devoid of experience within this field. Therefore when clients share frustrations, there is little they can do to assist other than come down on the delivery teams and demand updates, or WIP docs. This incredibly lack of knowledge is clear to both the delivery teams and the clients

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that the delivery teams were great to work with and you enjoyed the flexible working policy for the most part. We understand you're disappointed with some aspects of your experience at Silverbean. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We would like to take the opportunity to address your concerns: - We strive for transparency with our salary bands, we benchmark annually against salaries within the local area we work in. Our Salary bands can be reviewed anytime on our careers page on our website. In our last 6 monthly salary increase cycle, salaries were given to all levels within the business with a 10% increase given to the bottom of our Exec band. - There is a Leader board for bar raiser points with only the top 20 people included each month, not all employees are added to this board. The bar raiser points are to enable the business to give a bonus to employees who are doing more than what is expected of them in their role with the top person receiving £1250 and the 5th person receiving £250. - In the last 12 months we have had a promotion rate of 18% of our workforce from all levels of the business. (The national average of promotions in businesses is 6%). 65% of these promotions were Execs moving into Manager positions, or Managers moving into Senior roles. We have had 1 promotion in our Senior Management team and two people who were promoted into the Senior Management team. - We would never rate someone as under performing based on a metric that was out of their control. -Last month we had a sickness absence rate of 1.26%. This is well below the current UK national average of 5.8% of days lost per month. -In our last employee survey we had a 60% response rate (65% is classed as a good rate) so we absolutely want more people to respond to the survey so we can take any needed actions against employee feedback. The quarter previously we had a response rate of 65% and an employee net promoter score of +39% (+40% is classed as exceptional) with very little feedback on how the business could improve and the majority of developmental feedback was directed at a divisional level so there wasn’t much to talk about in the All Hands at a business level. This quarters Have Your Say business feedback, results and actions will be presented in the All Hands this month. - I can genuinely say that the people team really care about the people in the business and work really hard in striving to create a great place for people to work. A people team in any business has to balance both the interests of the employee with the interests of the business if employees feel valued, supported and engaged then employees are more productive, creative and likely to stay with the business which directly translates to better business outcomes. If as a people team working with the business we don’t get this right we’re not going to drive the right outcomes for the business so both of these things come hand in hand. - The employee Have Your Say survey and our employee forum (Kaizen) feedback is reviewed quarterly by the SMT and actions to improve employee feedback are taken. It’s important that we get this feedback quarterly, we know we don’t always get it right and that’s where we need people at all levels in the business to step in and tell us where we’re not getting it right and how we can improve. - You mention multiple complaints against Senior Management we have had your complaint and have taken the appropriate action in regards to the issues you raised. - Our Senior Management team in the Silverbean delivery team are not devoid of experience in this field. The delivery team Associate Directors have a combined experience of over 50 years experience in the Affiliate channel. We’re really sorry that your experience at Silverbean wasn’t entirely positive. We wish you all the best in the future and hope that you go on to do amazing things in your future career! The People Team

Vantaggi

Nice office Good hybrid working policy

Svantaggi

Work load - it’s a company wide issue all the way from executives up to senior managers , that working more than you allocated hours is necessary. Low pay - pay threshold is low compared to the market Progression - very limited progression , the jump from executives to manager to senior manager is extremely high / the frequency these roles come up , is extremely low Very cliquey- if you are not close / respected by certain a certain individual - it is made very apparent and you are pushed out both socially and professionally. Widespread strategy change - company direction and structure changes frequently , without much warning.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear you found the office environment and hybrid working policy positive. On workload, this is something we take seriously. We rely heavily on accurate time tracking from everyone across the business so we can spot pressure points, allocate resource properly and step in where support is needed. When time isn’t tracked in detail, it limits our ability to take the right action - so we continue to reinforce its importance and review workload trends regularly. We do recognise that, as a smaller agency, progression opportunities don’t come up as frequently as in larger organisations. We’re focused on how we can support development in other meaningful ways, even when formal role moves aren’t immediately available. Without having further context on some of the other points you raised, it's hard for me to respond to those meaningfully here. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best for the future.
