Vantaggi

Company days Flexibility for some Good exposure for graduates

Svantaggi

Clique mentality "if your face fits" Struggle to deliver core projects whilst taking hit on interesting promotable projects. This means additional pressure on those not in favour. Focus on awards and publicity over quality for day to day projects. Smoke and mirrors. Terrible bonus rules/system. Lots of employees overloaded taking pressure off profile project members. Told doing well only to be told not by management at a distance. No real management with experience. Ownership from buyout finding their way. Lose lots of good experienced staff. Mobilise employees on review sites like great employer and others

Vantaggi

Wonderful onboarding process. Kitchen provisions on site & snacks. Paid training. Good medical cover.

Svantaggi

Gossiping amongst workers is horrific, even in meetings people can't help themselves but talk down about other workers. Company offers "Hybrid" roles yet requires you to be fully on-site for the first 3 months, when there's no parking at the main office. Most managers are experienced staff with no actual management certifications or experience in managing, meaning they have no clue what they're doing or how to manage people. You'll be told to your face that you're doing good with nothing to worry about, then your "manager" will say you're underperforming in formal meetings. Enormous amount of E-Waste. Lots of having to "look busy" when there's nothing to do. "Flexible" working conditions but only flexible if your manager thinks it's ok, nothing is actually set in stone, some staff go off to walk their dog for half an hour and it's fine, some staff turn up 2 minutes past nine and half of the office is saying they should be sacked.

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. We are constantly striving to improve the employee experience at Simpson Associates - we believe in open, transparent communication and actively seek ways to improve our work environment. We provide two-way communication channels and forums that enable ideas to be shared, and concerns or frustrations can be addressed in a constructive manner. Negative or gossiping behaviour is not tolerated, so I'm sorry to hear you've experienced this. We provide professional training and support to all individuals, whether they are Managers or Teammates, to help them succeed in their roles, personal career goals and to meet business requirements. Our city centre office location is a great space to enable our hybrid & remote employees to hot desk from, taking advantage of the team environment as required. While parking is limited, we are fortunate to have onsite spaces available, plus easy access to public transport and park & ride options. For some roles, it is often necessary and beneficial on both sides to be in the office more in the early days - it is very role specific and we will review this with individuals to ensure it is working in the best interests of the individual and the business. We do take any feedback seriously, and if you would like to take time out to discuss further, Rachel or anyone from the People team would be happy to arrange this, so please do get in touch.
