I wanted to respond to a couple of your comments to provide some further data. We encourage you to reach out to People Ops if you have any further questions or comments.
“Not a place for women to be promoted”
Our employee base is 30% female today and in the past 12 months 38% of promotions have been female employees. We are promoting a higher percentage of female employees than male employees.
“Bad health insurance.. Horrific and expensive.. Reconsider if you have medical concerns”
We have offered health insurance plans through Humana for 2+ years (and other carriers prior to that), including a variety of plans to meet the needs of different employees and different family situations. We announced in the quarterly meeting on April 6th that we are significantly increasing the company’s contributions to premiums, and as of June 2021 will be paying 100% of the employee premium on our base plan. We have increased contributions for all other plans as well. So, for many employees health insurance will not only be less expensive, it will be completely free.
