Vantaggi
Competent engineering managers and friendly colleagues.
Svantaggi
The business model appeared increasingly dependent on a single government client in the Middle East. Over time, what seemed to be a scalable product evolved into a highly customized solution tailored to that client, raising concerns about long-term sustainability and diversification of revenue streams.
Several experienced project managers left the organization, and subsequent leadership changes significantly impacted the culture. Teams experienced increased micromanagement, excessive oversight of day-to-day work, and growing ambiguity around role ownership and responsibilities. This made it difficult for teams to operate efficiently and reduced autonomy for engineers.
A particularly challenging aspect was the disconnect between employee concerns and leadership responses. Issues related to toxic project management practices and team dynamics were frequently raised but often appeared to go unaddressed, leading to frustration and declining morale.
The company also went through substantial workforce reductions, resulting in the departure of a large portion of the organization. Throughout this period, employees were repeatedly reassured about stability which made the eventual layoffs especially difficult for those affected. The gap between internal messaging and the outcome significantly impacted trust in leadership. It is really sad to see once a company that seemed so promising falling downhill like this.
