Vantaggi
Only good thing about sky is work life balance. Only need to be in the office 2 days a week. Other benefits apart from the low salary are still decent
Svantaggi
- Severe downfall in engineering culture. This is coming from the top down from upper levels of management. Focus is on just cutting costs and delivering as fast as possible without thinking about the consequences. Results in major outages in their products as everything is rushed and shortcuts are taken - Layoffs still going on in the background, mass reductions of QAs and testers in the past year as well as a push for QAs and testers to now become developers. Testing and quality assurance is now an after thought which results in major sky product outages over the past year - No career progression here, there's no room in the budget but they will still dangle that promotion carrot in front of you to motivate you. Even if you jump through all of their obstacles successfully and get promoted, majority of developers have been given only a title change with no changes to their salaries. The ones that did get a payrise from their promotion only received 5% - Lots of politics going on in the background which affects departments and dev teams across sky
