Vantaggi
Remote work; slightly higher-than-average Brazilian salaries.
Svantaggi
When I started working there, the work environment was decent, and my direct manager was an angel. The operational team was mostly Brazilian, but the board was North American. At first, the campaigns were pretty basic, with no conversion tracking, ROAS, etc.; they have just recently (2023-24) started upgrading. Most of the ads had standardized ad copy that was just copied and pasted for all clients. The team used to be blamed for every churn, even if what caused the cancellation was the hidden fee they charged and made us manipulate in the reports. We also had to literally fake reports when there was an over- or underspend. Besides that, moral harassment was common, especially for account managers, including threats, micromanaging, controlling, and calls outside of work hours. They hired Brazilians as contractors so they didn't have to pay labor rights, but they demanded things that constituted a work relationship: fixed work hours, hierarchy, exclusive dedication, and so on. The CEO and his minions were abusive, especially towards Brazilians, and the general meetings included a prayer session, despite each individual's beliefs. There was no HR or anyone in charge of culture. People frequently got overloaded and burnt out. Everyone who left the company automatically became disqualified and the worst person on earth. But, in the board’s eyes, the company is perfect and has no flaws.
