A great place to foster ideas. You're encouraged to try, fail, learn, try again and succeed. Management is an open book, and the company is growing fast. You have to be agile to succeed because SmartBear moves fast. The employees are great, we are closer to a family on many levels. If benefits are important to you, the company pays all of your deductibles. If you need an MRI and the deductible is $200 - you're covered. This has almost paid for half of my insurance for the year so far. We have some great outings as well: Fenway tour and a game, golf outing day, a harbor cruise and go-karting to name a few. Back to the work, you become what you make yourself. This is a place where you are encouraged to step up and change the standard for the better.

There really aren't many cons here. You do need to be willing to work hard. This doesn't mean weekend work, but much of marketing comes in early and leaves late. With that said, part of the culture says that we work to live, not live to work. Though not everyone follows this, you're not punished if you do. Also not exactly a con, but we move fast. If you work at an established company making minor tweaks and coming up with a new campaign every few weeks, that's not us. We are growing at sub 30% annually and that means we make fast moves while testing and adjust to the results.
