Vantaggi

- Some talented individual contributors and middle managers who genuinely care about small businesses - Flexible hybrid work policy and solid benefits - Opportunities to work in "fintech" - if you can handle the constant chaos

Svantaggi

- Leadership instability and financial mismanagement resulted in 4 rounds of layoffs in 2 years - Technology is far behind modern fintech standards, with minimal automation in place - Reputation problems with the partner and broker community directly hurt deal flow and caused missed targets - Morale is low due to ongoing fear of additional layoffs tied to missed quarterly targets - Below-market pay with no raises for years, first blamed on becoming a bank, now deferred indefinitely until profitability

Vantaggi

Health insurance was good and a very few good people as your peers (mostly older) .

Svantaggi

Newer leadership is a joke. Very petty and plays favorites that have nothing to do with performance. You’ll never get credit for great work but will be critiqued on the smallest thing just because management made up in their head that they don’t like you. There were multiple instances where they will derail a conversation because they don’t even have a basic understanding of what’s going on. One on one meetings are extremely unprofessional where your boss will literally be texting or writing an email and not pay attention to a word you’re saying. It’s no wonder you don’t get recognized for really good work, it’s because your own boss isn’t even paying attention during your meetings. I’ve never felt so much unprofessionalism and disrespect from anyone let alone a direct manager and it’s a real disappointment. There’s been a ton of layoffs and trust me, you will be a victim of it no matter how long you’ve been with the company or how good you are at your job.
