Vantaggi
Some of the employees were great to work with. Built friendships out of work.
Svantaggi
Job posting was for full-time, come to finish the interview process and get told they'll start me off as part-time. But will end up putting in full-time hours. All to just get away with not giving insurance. Only way to move up from part to full time is if a full time person leaves. Equipment is really old and beat up. The sales people often have no idea the setup at the venue or confirm anything with the customer. All that falls on the technician. Once the sales person finalizes the order they pretty much move onto the next potential customer. The rates on the equipment are ridiculous. Printers are 10+ years old and have strong wear and tear. The tvs are old lcd screens and are rated at prices where the customer is better off getting their own and have it be of better quailty and condition. There's no set schedule at all. You often have no idea when/if you're working till the night before and that's if the manager updates the calendar on time. The job is pretty much a glorified delivery person. You'll spend 80% of your time driving. There's very little room to learn and grow if you're and IT or AV tech. Always setting up the same stuff in the same way. And often they'll send people to set up an event who have barely any experience doing the work that's required. Like sending the warehouse manager who does the shipping to other branches go out and do a networking job.
