Vantaggi

Decent set of colleagues. Most don’t like it here, but are afraid to say anything and are just hanging out until they find something better.

Svantaggi

Where do I start…the list is endless! Let’s just start from the top. Leadership micro-manages the business and some of them are just outright rude. No regard for employees whatsoever. For them, employees are just a number and inter changeable. News Flash: Providing free lunch or offering “snappy” hour cannot buy you satisfied employees. During the interview stage, they promise you the moon and the stars. Reality sinks in the moment you start working. You are EXPECTED to work a minimum of 70 hours per week- come in early and leave late- even if you have nothing to do or are mentally exhausted. There is ZERO work life balance (unless you’re an executive and can take time off whenever you please). And need I add, the pay is poor. It may seem decent when they sell it to you but if you do the math on the number of hours you are expected to put in, you’ll know how underpaid you are. Poor pay, poor culture, unhappy employees, rude leaders- those are all ingredients for disaster and failure. There are a tons of other companies that can use your talent, pay you more and offer you a better work/life balance. Don’t waste your time here.

Vantaggi

-Fun work environment: The people are hands down the best part about SnapApp. The company is made up of great people from all different backgrounds who manage to work their hardest while also keeping work fun (Think: frequent Nerf gun battles). -Rapidly growing Culture/HR focus: The company nearly doubled in size over the past few months. With that, came a huge improvement on the HR/Culture side of things. Exciting new employee engagement initiatives, events, and policies have sprung up in record time. Summer Fridays (Say “Bye” to the office at 3 pm!), employee recognition awards, and New Hire Scavenger Hunts are just a few of the culture-focused initiatives that have evolved over the past month or two. -Opportunities for Growth: If you want added responsibilities or new professional opportunities within your position, you just have to ask for them. Managers are very willing to work with you to help you build the skills and experiences you want for your long-term career.

Svantaggi

- Lack of Cross-Departmental Community: After moving to a larger (albeit beautiful) office, the sense of company-wide inclusiveness has suffered a bit. With departments now physically separated, it is very difficult for employees to get to know/interact with those who are not on their specific team.
