Company offsites were an experience. Some really decent individual colleagues. A few of whom would truly fly if they worked elsewhere.

I’ve tried a couple of times to write constructively about my experience here but every time before I finished I’d question why I was bothering. It’s not a great place. It has seen rather parochial success in DACH largely one ultimately assumes because it’s a German company. Success outside of that region… let’s just say it’s less successful. Why? Well, the base product is nothing special. And how can it be? There are only so many ways “training awareness” films can be repackaged. The leadership team is strange. Inexperienced & sly. CS really is the tail that wags the dog. Bizarre really how much influence this odd little part of the business exerts over everything. I can only assume that loading cartoons up against AD profiles must be really hard. Partners especially were not to be trusted to touch the product to stand it up. Two-faced leadership style. Nice & positive to your face, whilst sharpening the knives every time you looked at someone else. Hire & fire as standard. The last round of international hires (anyone in the last 18months really) have all been deemed surplus to requirements. I’m sure it’ll be the fault of those individuals and not the lack of support, poorly differentiated product & crowded market that has resulted in them all being given the chop. And yet curiously, the characters making those plans, hiring those people, are never the ones held accountable. It’s always a variation on “person X was a bad hire”. Amateurs playing at a professional game. If it walks like a duck… The pay’s not great, the deal sizes are tiny (outside of DACH) & the quotas huge. A swanky cologne office, free snacks & a pride flag do not a company make. If you’re in the mix for a new role outside of DACH (assuming there are plans to replace the previous incumbents) go elsewhere. OR use it as a placeholder until a proper role comes around. Either way go into it with your eyes open. Seek out the former “safeys” (😒) - they’re easy enough to find - and ask them about their experience. They’d all be happy to share.

It used to offer real, meaningful work in a very nerdy industry, with great parties. But around late 2024-2025 there were changes in senior leadership, and new external VP/C-level joined the company, clueless about the industry and internal realities changed things, leading to people being made redundant.
