Union contracts can be time consuming

Working with the team at Sodexo Live was an eventful experience. I learne allot about event planning, large event catering, sales and so much much more. I had the priviage of working with a highly tenured team of food and beverage professionals that were constantly eager to show me their world of F&B. I would be remissed if I didnt mention the many perks I recieved such as theater tickets, access to many differnt kinds of food and pastries. For the most part the over all experience was a positive one.

Unfortunately when I arrived, the company hadn't had any HR oversite for 15 years onsite and a huge shortage of support remotely. This was a challenge as their were many aspects of compliance that had to addressed quickly. Ther were also many employee relations issues that had gone unaddressed for years. Employee engagement was severly low and the trushworthyness of leadership was even lower. Their were no growth step patterns for the new generation of employees coming into the workforce so many team members felt stuck and took on outside jobs to supplement their wages. This didnt help matter for team members working with a union that was seemingly credible however (in my opion) not very trust worthy or effective.
