I have worked at many different small startup companies. If I am going to put my soul into something I always want it to be worthwhile. I look for companies that will change the game if possible and as a bonus do better in the world. I have been lucky enough to be a part of this at least two times in my career. It is very satisfying to have done something when many people say you can, as an individual effort and as a part of a team. If it really is a new market that the company is creating then you get to be an architect and inventor doing something novel. Even though it is new we have our roadmap of products already outlined so there is relatively little risk. This is one of those companies. Many people think they want to be a part of something big, they want to be out in front leading the pack. It takes a lot of heart and drive to do so, and honestly it's not for most people. Many people would rather be a small cog in a large organization with a clear path to success that is well supported with a big salary. Well this is bigger than that, if your not up for it, it just isn't the place for you and their is nothing wrong with that. If you are up for it, it will be very rewarding. Because of the challenging work and the game changing technology there are more capable people in more diverse roles than any other company I have worked at. I am privileged to work with those who are here and those who have come and gone.

It's small, now. its a lot of work. There is no place to hide if your not delivering and it will make you very uncomfortable, especially if you are the only one. It's a pretty flat structure so you will be responsible for your work.

Everyone here is an expert of certain area, we're all woking hard to make products that not exist before, we believe our technology and products will be life changers. In addition, since SunCulture is startup company with small number of employees, we all treat each other friendly. 2. Nice working environment. SunCulture Solar has great offices located in the heart of Silicon Valley - Mountain View. It has well decorated rooms, fully Mac based working environment, Herman Miller chairs etc. are better than most of larger companies. 3. Clear vision and innovation product lines. Although there is no product published yet, the company has a clear vision of its product lines; we all know we're working on the future of solar energy. 4. More opportunities. Woking here is not only a job, it's the process of making great products. Startup always means better opportunities, for learning new knowledge, gaining different area of experience, of course making life different. 5. Good benefits. All the employees here have Pro Medical Care, Dental Care, free snakes, free lunch on Friday, gym access, noise-cancellation headphone, vacations, paid leave etc.

It depends on how you treat your job. We all working hard and sometimes until late evening in order to build the great products, so that you need to make more efforts to balance your family and working.
