Lots of very smart people with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude. -Very strong core product line. -Highly profitable. -Never had a round of lay-offs in the company’s ~20 year history unlike some competitors. The parent company, Dassault Systemes’, has a philosophy of not laying off in tough times, but rather carefully watching expenses and reinvesting for the future.

-SolidWorks has always run very lean, so sometimes it feels we have insufficient staff in certain areas, but see comment above about not having lay-offs. -Closer ties to the parent company mean that decision-making tends to happen at a slower pace than was the case previously, as more people are involved in the process.
