If you're not client facing, they will treat you like a second class citizen. A lot of (unnecessary and ridiculous) duties aren't mentioned in the job interview or description and then once you've accepted, they come out of nowhere now that you don't have the leverage of negotiation. A few members of management (including the CEO) have absolutely no respect for their employees and constantly overtly mistreat them. The other management staff keep quiet and silently support/enable this behavior.
EMs are expected to spend every waking hour (on and off work) working. They boast a culture that cares about employees and sympathy but no such thing exists.
