Echoing the previous reviews that speak to the verbal abuse from senior management and leaders at Soroco. I was once on a call where 20 minutes were spent berating another senior leader while we all had to listen and wait for it to be over. There was another instance where a senior-level leader demanded that I get on a 12 AM call with them to review a PowerPoint deck... They were NOT based in another time zone. We were both in Boston. They then spent the majority of the call berating me until around 1 in the morning. I'm not exaggerating this.
I don't know what has created the culture of misogyny here but it's everywhere. When I gave my notice I was told it wouldn't be accepted until the next day so I had time to talk to my husband and see if he agreed on my decision to leave. The next morning when I, again gave my notice the first question I was asked was, "what does your husband think?"
Part of the trauma of working here is remembering the abuse you put up with and the many times you should have walked away and didn't. Trauma bonds are real. There are so many incredible people who have walked in (and out) of Soroco's doors. They're pretty much the only bright light.
