Vantaggi
Flexibility, remote work, and ability to pick up more hours when work is available.
Svantaggi
- The work is not always consistent. You might find yourself struggling to reach 10 hours of work per week, even though 30+ hours was promised, due to an inability to account for scheduled vacations and absences. - No benefits of any sort. - Pay structure is convoluted, and you're never really sure how much you're going to make on each paycheck. - Onboarding is a complete joke. You're thrown into the waters with an onboarding checklist, which your leads and managers aren't really paying attention to. No scheduled video calls, no weekly check-ins, just a paper doc with a checklist for you to sort through. To be fair to coven leads, they're often much too busy to actually spend time developing a relationship with new hires. Does it really need to be said how valuable face-time is when working remotely, especially for new employees? - Company culture is pretty much nonexistent. Birthdays are acknowledged via Slack, but that's the most I've seen this company do for its employees. You'll be so disconnected from your employees and managers, to the point where you feel like the only platform to air your grievances is Glassdoor.
