TJ, the founder and CEO, is a joy to work with. He's at the top of his game and has built a team of highly competent advanced custom web designers and developers to assemble an all-star team.

Agency growth has slowed with macroeconomic trends.

I truly loved working at Southleft. I loved working alongside talented employees and developing policies and procedures that fit the culture as we grew. Southleft was a company from which I honestly thought I would eventually retire.

I decided to leave Southleft due to a continuous disregard for suggestions to safeguard the company. One example includes contractors being given preferential treatment over permanent employees. We hired a temporary project manager (1099 contractor) to fulfill some work. It quickly became evident that the contractor lacked essential and basic skills, required significant training, and raised substantial red flags with her workplace behavior. I recommended that we terminate her contract as she was a liability to the company, but my suggestions were not heeded. During my resignation period from the company, the same unqualified contractor was given the position of Chief Operating Officer, a role Southleft had not previously recognized and was adamant about not having. This change occurred after the contractor insisted on creating the role for herself and threatened to depart for another company if she was not awarded the title. This individual had no experience in executive management or business operations, which I knew from her resume when she applied as a Project Manager. Unfortunately, such major lapses in judgment have resulted in a difficult work environment and a high employee turnover rate. Even through all of this mess, I wish Southleft the very best. This company has the potential to become an excellent workplace.
