- A percentage of employees are cut after 2 years - Lack of empathy from managers when you explain the limited resources available (ex: coming in unpaid on weekends to keep team afloat to be told "They work nights/weekends but should look to work smarter, not harder" as if total transactions don't need to be processed/completed) - Unrealistic expectations (ex: "if you could come up with a novel concept in the next couple weeks it'd help") - Second-level managers that have little to no interaction with their teams (regularly weeks without any acknowledgment) - Lack of accountability from managers between teams, despite expecting extreme accountability from lower-level employees - Tempermental directors that punish & terminate irrationally without seeking information or providing training/mentorship - Don't plan on retiring at SpaceX, plan on doing a couple years there and then finding a role with better work/life balance & pay - Any perks the company provides are slowly deteriorating (% subsidized for food continues to drop) - Lack of clarity for growth within position/title, leading to many disgruntled employees that are provided no information on how to advance and grow their careers
