Vantaggi

I have been working at Sparkfund full-time (Less than a year) - Will update at the end of the year. - Real focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion - with trainings, committees, and OKRs - Ownership of projects even as a newer team member - Policies and encouragement for advancement - career growth paths. - Being able to see the impact on our growth and company mission. - Working in energy field without constrains of "old school" industry style - A comprehensive onboarding process including training, and one on ones with different teams. - Easy to be yourself. - Flexibility / outcome driven.

Svantaggi

- It's a startup, so the team, policies, and project priorities sometimes change quickly. Constant effort by management / team leaders to minimize disruption within the team, but just like most start ups there will be uncertainty, which could be stressful for some people - and a fun challenge for some other.

Vantaggi

There are people who are passionate about their role and what the company is trying to do. Schedules are flexible.

Svantaggi

Toxic Work Culture: Working here felt like you were in an episode of “Game of Thrones” where everyone was plotting against each other. I was once told that I failed at my role during my yearly review, even though I’ve had 4 supervisors in the year and a half that I worked there and received company strategies that were the focal point of my role a month before I left. You couldn’t ask for guidance because management would use it against you. If you did ask questions, it was like pulling teeth for them to answer. Projects were with vague instructions in order to “validate your poor performance.” Horrible Leadership: Management didn’t know what they were doing but pretended like they did as my department head had no expertise in the field our team worked in. They would ask for your input but would get mad or brush you off when you offered suggestions. Communication was poor from management, compliments were rare but when they did happen it was disingenuous. Mirco Management: Management tracked everything we did with daily updates, multiple meetings, and asana tracking. They would also go into documents and just watch while you were working on something. It was overkill and it took a lot of time away from doing your actual job.
