This company loves to talk about its “culture pillars,” but leadership - especially within Marketing - doesn’t just fall short of them, they actively undermine them. What’s more concerning is that the executive team is fully aware and chooses not to act. The CMO provides little to no clear direction, leaving teams guessing on priorities and strategy. Instead of leading, he frequently gets lost in minor tactical details, creating confusion and rework rather than progress. There’s a noticeable absence of vision, accountability, or support - just reactive, inconsistent involvement that makes it difficult for anyone to succeed. At the VP level, the environment shifts from disorganized to outright hostile. Bullying and intimidation tactics are common. Employees are spoken to with a level of disrespect that would be unacceptable in any functional workplace, including being openly cursed at. One director in particular mirrors and reinforces this behavior, contributing to a culture where employees feel undervalued, unsupported, and, at times, targeted. There’s also a pattern of disregarding employees’ time and development - 1:1s are routinely canceled or rescheduled last-minute, making it clear that growth and support are not priorities. The trickle-down effect is real: morale is low, trust in leadership is nonexistent, and turnover risk is high. Employees are not asking for perfection - they’re asking for basic professionalism, respect, and alignment with the company’s stated values. Unfortunately, the executive team has shown no willingness to step in, hold leadership accountable, or protect the culture they claim to value. Until there is meaningful accountability at the top, nothing will change.
