There are not many "PROS" to API compared to any other business on the planet. They give you PTO (lacking compared to other competitors) Health care was below market (currently changing) and there was 401K match I believe. They worked with me through Covid and family issues which I appreciate.

If I can give footnotes to this I will try. But I want to express this fairly from the few years I worked with this company and explain it now that I have no ties to them beyond I'm glad they gave me paychecks and we parted ways. Api is a mix of Old and New, and the main problem is that the older generation demands change, gets it, and fights it. There were dozens upon dozens of employees that came and went during my breif time and they all struggled from the same issues through multiple departments. There was almost no training, no support, and management did not have a set plan for them to execute on. There is a vast issue with training from upper management to the every day floor employee. I expressed my concerns with this after about 6 months and essentially it was discarded. API hires many bright individuals that do not stay for the simple fact someone 20 years older then them will not help them build any sort of foundation to be a successful employee. The benefits are probably the worst Ive ever had. Base pay is acceptable, but 10 years from now I imagine it wouldnt have changed much. The culture is very simple at its core, the top 5-20% of the company will hire, not train, use new employees up till there is nothing left, then cut them lose to hire the next batch of young hard workers and repeat the process. Most employees will stay for anywhere between a week to a year. By the month mark for alot of new employees I have spoke to between all departments at multiple locations, they do not have the resources, support or time to do their job on something at a presentable level. Many new employees understand they are set up to fail and leave. I went 6 months + at one point without having my manager speak a single word to me directly. I was then reviewed and my marks were all "needs improvement" He invested no time into me since that review and I was not supported during that time to find any sort of success. I envision thats what the rest of the company feels from turnover and word of mouth.

A 4-day work week is super nice, but I would rather work at a company with a 5-day work week that pays much better and values its employees.

No growth opportunities, and the pay is terrible. The workload is too much for the lack of people on the team, and you don't get a bonus, no matter how hard you work. The company preaches growth opportunities and brags about how they are growing and always exceeding profit goals, but if you aren't high enough in the company, you won't be rewarded for it. I would say 80% of the employees are underpaid, and it's only a 2%-3% raise each year.
