The clients were the best part of this job and the interactions I had were great. This was a nice place to work about a year ago. Recent acquisitions in management have shifted that experience.

Management does not care about your career, your advancement, nor you in general. On call rotations were frequent due to having too few techs and on call "pay" was bad. Substandard security practices for client systems, and nothing in place to rectify this. Clients are realizing that IT can be better and are leaving. They will tell you your safety is a concern and all onsite visits are suspended unless critical, and the following week they will send you out into a pandemic to fix a printer. When you raise concerns about your career and the direction of it at Spectrum, you will be told by the COO that if you don't like the way things are, you need to find another place to work. Benefits were adequate, and pay is on par with most MSP models, but there are better places to work and enjoy IT, this is NOT one of them. Making money is fun, but shouldn't come at the expense of your client's needs, your employee's career goals, or your integrity.

Bonus program: each month based on your efficiency and revenue generated you can make extra money, which is a great perk! There's a small workout or relaxation area where you can play video games, rest, or work out a bit during break or your lunch if you'd prefer. The management and even owner are very approachable. If you have a concern, you can speak to the service team supervisor and it can be discussed and worked out. Once you start going onsite to help out clients, you'll be able to meet many of the people we help and put a face to the name. This is the biggest pro for me personally.

MSPs aren't for everyone, but if you can handle IT even when it gets stressful, you'll do very well here.
