Vantaggi
The number one thing at the firm are its people (minus a few sour apples). The associate cohort is fantastic and you won’t find anyone not willing to pitch in and help. They are your saving grace from, wait for it, the crazy consultants. Your experience is completely predicated upon those whom you support. There are some amazing consultants. And there are others who are cancerous to the company and anyone in their orbit. Barring that, the people are great. Benefits are fantastic, too. Amazing HC, great profit sharing, base is solid. But do know the higher you progress, the longer your days and therefore, smaller your hourly rate (if you do the math). Still, you’ll be able to live a healthy lifestyle.
Svantaggi
The firm only cares about the biggest billers. Some of these consultants are awful in many ways, but especially in “apprenticing” others. They have huge egos, have to always be heard, and thing they’re god’s gift on earth. The firm pretends to care about culture but not at the expense of losing big billers who are otherwise toxic. Money above all, am I right? The work is downright grunt work. They proclaim to use an apprenticeship model, but the only apprenticing is doing grueling work with no thanks. I guess it does depend on who you have but the days will nevertheless be long and seem to never end. Work life balance isn’t a thing. And many office heads frequently told their staff to think more about work life integration and not balance. It was headed in the wrong direction so I left. I heard with the new CEO, it’s only gotten worse
