Easy workload and management is great overall

Would have to work OT, which can be paid only sometimes

The teams here are phenomenal and people care deeply about what they do. Everyone is very skilled in their respective industries and very open to working across the board.

PTO is awful. It is only 10 days per year and 10 sick days and it doesn’t carry over from year to year. It doesn’t increase either until you’ve been there for 5 years. Every 5 years you get an extra 5 days. Maternity leave is also pretty bad with only 5 days 100% paid and after that you have to go onto short term disability for 60% paid. Most other companies I know do at least 6 weeks and Sphera only does 5 days so take that as you will. There are layoffs every year around the holiday season even if the company is doing well. In addition, the bonus is never 100% paid out. They will say it’s tied to company success and have a whole meeting every year about how wonderful the year was with the business but then tell us the next week they can only pay out 70% of the bonus. Raises and such are also tied to company success as opposed to merit.
