An organisation with a great vision for what they wish to achieve in the near future. They understand the key aspect to achieving this goal involves strong engagement from the team, and have created/implemented ideas to encourage engagement across the company. Whilst at the same time building the foundation of a reputable employer which will have people wanting to work for them. The opportunities for development and progression are made available to everyone, regardless of position or responsibility. With the support needed to succeed never restricted and there for those who want/need it at anytime. An infrastructure for the head office/regional support function is being created that will allow greater stability to the existing portfolio, whilst being efficient for future properties coming on board. It would also be sufficient were the owners to decide to create their own branded hotel company instead of franchising with other well-known brands (IHG, Hilton etc).

Unfortunately, it occasionally seems that higher authority are not living the core values of the "Splendid Purpose & Way" but enforcing the hotel managers to ensure its being "lived" in the properties, then using it to their advantage when wanting to achieve a desired objective. There is also a habit/mindset where, whatever needs to be done within the properties is done as the cheapest possible option, instead of the best possible option. This may be cost efficient at the time, but in the long run proves not to be cost effective. Sometimes the ideas thought of to engage the team more (whilst good ideas) aren't always fully thought through, to make them suitable for every property within the portfolio. This becomes apparent to some team members who then become disengaged/demoralised, which defeats the very purpose of the ideas.
